Woppaburra
Refresher/Introductory Training
Seagrass-Watch HQ was in Yeppoon 23-25 June 2025, to provide refresher Seagrass monitoring and an introduction to mapping for the Woppaburra led project Expanding Traditional Owner-led Seagrass Monitoring and Restoration.
It was really great to catch up with some of the previously Level 1 Trained rangers and new participants, who were keen to gain an introduction to seagrass.
Participants gained refresher knowledge about their local seagrasses and how to monitor an introductory to possibly mapping them .Â
Seagrass-Watch HQ would like to thank all participants who attended. It was really fantastic to catch up with everyone. We hope you all found the training informative and enjoyable. We look forward to collaborating with you.
Woppaburra Mapping introduction
As part of the refresher/introductory training, a new Seagrass-Watch long-term monitoring site was established, and participants also conducted a number of spot-checks at mapping points, at Considine Beach, Konomie.
