As part of the 7th International Seagrass Biology workshop held in Zanzibar, there was an excursion to Chwaka Bay on Zanzibar’s East coast (featuring seagrass habitats of Thalassodendron ciliatum and Enhalus acoroides as well as intertidal algal farming).

 

 

 

Rowes Bay (Townsville): 08 September 2006

The Belgian Gardens State School surveyed the seagrass meadows at Rowes Bay on Friday (8th September, 2006), as part of the community participatory monitoring programme. Thirteen students from the School, were joined by seven Japanese students from the Yokohama City University, with the staff and volunteers making up the survey team. Text: Posa Skelton
